Heirloom Melons: Tigger

This Armenian heirloom weighs around 1 lb., has mildly sweet white flesh and an intoxicating aroma.  In 19th century England, women carried these "pocket melons" for their fragrance.

Heirloom Melons: Moon and Stars

A large speckled watermelon from the Ozark region, it was thought to be extinct until found and reintroduced in 1981.  It's considered to be the poster-child for the heirloom movement.
